The foundation of the Fine and Performing Arts Program is based on a rigorous academic agenda, which includes a three year study of French or Spanish. Each student in the program is given a block of time to participate in a variety of arts experiences. These include a focus class in one of the following areas: art, dance, drama, piano, instrumental music, or vocal music.

Wheel classes allow students to participate in a variety of experiential areas such as: art, chorus, computers, drama, creative movement, humanities, musical theater, piano, instrumental music, steel drums, and digital music.

Elective classes give students the opportunity to address other areas of interest, including classes in gifted, art, computer, dance, drama, piano, instrumental music, and vocal music.

The Fine and Performing Arts magnet strand offers students the ability to choose one of seven focus areas of study: art, dance, instrumental music, orchestra, piano, theater, and vocal music.
